Universal Pictrures will produce and distribute the first DVD movie starring the Monsters High by Mattel : Ghouls Rule!

The movie will be produced in digital animation and will be powered by a new line of dolls. It is expected that both the dvd and the dolls will hit the market in autumn this year.

Monster High dolls have sold for $ 300 million in 2011, 5% of total sales of Mattel. These characters are present in 35 countries and counts on a multi-category licensing program, including backpacks, gifts and textiles. This program has also led to the publication of books with the New York Times and a number of websites that has been viewed 140 million times.
