Nickelodeon UK has announced a partnership with environmental organisation Adventure Ecology to cover the Plastiki Expedition, which launched on March 20th, 2010, as part of ‘Nick’s Big Green Thing’, the network’s campaign to educate and inform kids on green issues.

The expedition sees ‘The Plastiki’ a pioneering 60 foot catamaran made from approximately 12,500 reclaimed plastic bottles and srPET (a fully recyclable material) sailing across the southern hemisphere (San Francisco to Sydney).

Nickelodeon will play a series of 1 minute interstitials revealing news updates on the crew’s adventures, showing their findings and actively.

Nickelodeon UK ha annunciato una partnership con l'organizzazione ambientale Adventure Ecology per "coprire" la Plastiki Expedition, partita il 20 marzo 2010, come parte di 'Nick's Big Green Thing', la campagna della rete atta a educare e informare i ragazzi sulle questioni ambientali.

La spedizione vede 'The Plastiki' un pionieristico catamarano di 60 piedi fatto con circa 12.500 bottiglie di plastica recuperata e srPET (un materiale completamente riciclabile) che veleggerà in tutto il sud del mondo (da San Francisco a Sydney).
