Ink Highlights Five Hot Brands At BLE 2017

Ink Group will present an eclectic mix of fresh and original brands on stand C70 at BLE 2017.

ZAFARI is the creation of animation visionary David Dozoretz and tells the story of a group of friends who inhabit a land where all the resident animals have been magically born with an amalgamation of varying skins, patterns and characteristics, making each individual truly unique.  Ultimate Source is on board as master toy licensee, whilst a host of broadcasters have already come in on the project on a pre-buy level – including France TV, Lagardere TIJI, SRC Radio Canada and SpaceToon. NBC Universal has picked up the global distribution rights and will premiere the series this autumn. The series is also linked with World Wildlife Fund (WWF),  with each episode of ZAFARI featuring a video aimed at educating viewers about wildlife and wild places on our planet.

The Mojicons is the new show that reveals the behind-the-scenes world of the internet, where the Mojicons live – the innumerable emoticons that populate our emails and text messages. Sadly, this zany bunch of condensed emotions is clueless about how the Web works! When a mysterious digital villain steals the @ symbol, all electronic correspondence grinds to a halt. The Mojicons must undertake an awe-inspiring and dangerous quest to restore their system. The first series of the show has been snapped up by digital platforms and broadcasters across Greece, Turkey, MENA, South-East Asia, Portugal and Israel, and is available on Toon Goggles – the premiere global on-demand destination for children and families. There are also three movies in the pipeline.

Masha and the Bear is the infectiously funny tales of a little girl and her reluctant bear friend that is now broadcast in almost every country in the world – via both pay and free-to-air channels. Broadcasters include France TV, KIKA, Rai YoYo (Italy), Turner Cartoonito (UK and Latin America), Turner Boing (Spain), ABC (Australia), Canal Panda (Spain and Portugal), Minimax (Central Europe), Russia 1 (Russia and CIS), SIC (Portugal and Portuguese-speaking Africa) and SpaceToon (Middle East, North Africa and Malaysia). The show has spawned two hit spin-offs – Masha’s Tales and Masha’s Spooky Stories – and is a huge YouTube hit. Masha and the Bear has also enjoyed a successful theatrical release across key European markets.

BRIO is one of the most recognisable toy brands in the world. Distinctive, well-designed toys such as the famous BRIO Dachshund and wooden railway have been part of childhood for generations, and the company now has a presence in over thirty countries. Brand awareness is particularly strong in the four Nordic markets, the UK, US, Germany and France.

Beat Bugs is an animated family series inspired by the music of the Beatles, using some of Lennon and McCartney’s most famous tracks to tell uplifting and life-affirming stories filled with hope and melody. The show follows the adventures of the Beat Bugs – five charming, funny and lovable young insects who band together to explore and learn in an overgrown suburban backyard, which to them is their entire universe. Each episode features a Beatles cover, by artists such as Pink, James Corden, Eddie Vedder and The Shins. Beat Bugs is broadcast on Channel 7 in Australia and across the world via Netflix in 190 territories.

“All these brands distinguish themselves by representing something different and original,” says Ink Director Claus Tømming. “We are looking for partners who want to capitalize on these qualities to deliver something fresh and unique to consumers.”
