{"id":13654,"date":"2018-07-27T17:09:19","date_gmt":"2018-07-27T15:09:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.licensingitalia.it\/?p=13654"},"modified":"2018-07-27T17:09:19","modified_gmt":"2018-07-27T15:09:19","slug":"img-appointed-master-licensee-of-uefa-euro-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.licensingitalia.it\/en\/img-appointed-master-licensee-of-uefa-euro-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"IMG appointed master licensee of UEFA EURO 2020&#x2122;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>UEFA, European football\u2019s governing body, has appointed IMG as the exclusive master licensee for UEFA EURO 2020&#x2122; and other major UEFA tournaments through 2022.<\/h3>\n<p>The new appointment follows IMG and UEFA\u2019s highly successful collaboration on the licensing programme for UEFA EURO 2016 and UEFA\u2019s other national tournaments through 2014-17 period.<\/p>\n<p>The new multi-year global rights deal includes the <strong>UEFA Women\u2019s EURO&#x2122; 2021, UEFA U-21 Championship&#x2122; 2019 &amp; 2021, UEFA Futsal EURO&#x2122; 2022 and UEFA\u2019s brand new Nations League Finals tournament with its inaugural editions in to be held in 2019 and 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>EURO 2020&#x2122; marks the 60<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of UEFA\u2019s prestigious flagship tournament, during which it will make history by being played in 12 host cities across all corners of Europe as opposed to a single host country. The tournament will feature 51 matches with 24 teams competing over a full month from June 12 to July 12, 2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guy-Laurent Epstein, Director of Marketing, UEFA<\/strong>, said: <em>\u201cWe look forward to continuing our successful UEFA National Team Football licensing partnership with IMG. This agreement will allow us to continue to benefit from IMG\u2019s extensive global licensing network and enable fans all over the world to be able to have access to a wide range of official UEFA Euro 2020 licensed products.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mickael Andr\u00e9o, Vice President of Licensing, IMG<\/strong>, said: <em>\u201cIt has been a privilege to collaborate with UEFA for the UEFA EURO 2016 and other national team tournaments over the last three years. &nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWith UEFA EURO 2020, we now have a fantastic opportunity to work on a groundbreaking tournament format, which will create a unique platform to take this milestone celebration to more fans than ever before.
