Italy\u2019s animation pioneer, Iginio Straffi, unveils details about his trailblazing CGI animated show \u2018Pinocchio and Friends\u2019, debuting on small screens in 2021<\/h3>\n

After captivating fans around the world with his immersive brands – like the iconic Winx Club<\/em> and the pawesome 44 Cats<\/em> – the Italian genius of family entertainment is ready to launch a new market milestone fitting a market-leader with 25 years of historic growth. And, there\u2019s no better way to do that than by taking the most famous Italian-written children\u2019s story of all time, Carlo Collodi\u2019s original The Adventures of Pinocchio<\/em>, and re-imagining it as a contemporary, irreverent and absolutely charming children\u2019s series. Rainbow is currently previewing the pilot, attracting big interest from major broadcasters and leading pubcasters. The 26 x 12\u2019 show is expected to hit the small screen by the end of 2021.<\/p>\n

Straffi\u2019s new Pinocchio is the first ever animated TV series created entirely from the point of view of children, for children, and focusing on the bridge target market.  The show brings fresh new energy to the classic fairy tale by mixing modern life and all its progress with the spirit of magic. After all, mixing progress \u2013 like the modern art of animation and the global children\u2019s entertainment industry \u2013 with the magic of storytelling and imagination to create something that stands the test of time is what Iginio Straffi does best.<\/p>\n

Paying tribute to Collodi\u2019s avant garde work, Mr. Straffi recreates a story that many studios have tried to adapt \u2013 but with fresh eyes and a modern twist. Pinocchio is an enchanted puppet living in today\u2019s world, one where anything is possible.
