BBC Studios Kids & Family has today announced that the 28 minute extended Bluey <\/em><\/strong>episode, The Sign<\/em><\/strong>, will premiere globally on Sunday, 14th<\/sup> April<\/strong> on ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) and on Disney+, Disney Channel and Disney Junior.<\/h3>\n

In more Bluey<\/a> news, it\u2019s also been revealed that another, brand-new episode called \u2018Ghostbasket\u2019<\/em> <\/strong>will premiere around the world ahead of The Sign<\/em><\/strong> on Sunday April 7th.<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n

The regular length episode of \u2018Ghostbasket\u2019<\/strong><\/em> sees the return of the much loved Grannies, Janet and Rita, played by Bluey and Bingo.<\/p>\n

Cecilia Persson, Managing Director of BBC Studios Kids & Family, says<\/strong>: \u201cGhostbasket sets the stage for the hotly anticipated premiere of \u2018The Sign\u2019 a week later, which promises to be an appointment to view moment for Bluey fans around the globe. It\u2019s also a great jumping in point  for newcomers to Bluey, with each episode of this beautiful show a heart-warming and positive viewing experience.\u201d  <\/em><\/p>\n

\u2018The Sign\u2019<\/em><\/strong> is the longest episode ever of the global hit TV show, with a run time of 28 minutes. Both \u2018Ghostbasket\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>and \u2018<\/em>The Sign\u2019<\/em><\/strong> are penned by Bluey<\/em> creator and writer Joe Brumm, directed by Richard Jeffery, and produced by Ludo Studio.  Dave McCormack and Melanie Zanetti will reprise their roles as the voices of Bandit and Chilli Heeler.<\/p>\n

Ludo Studio, producers of the hugely popular animated TV series<\/strong>, say: \u201cWe\u2019re so excited to share Ghostbasket<\/em>, a brand new Bluey episode followed by The Sign<\/em> which is the equivalent to nearly six Chunky Chimps! The crew have worked so hard on these two new episodes, making them the very best that they can be and we can\u2019t wait to share them with a global audience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since launching in Australia in 2018, Bluey<\/em> has gained millions of fans around the world; widely lauded for its heartfelt and funny portrayal of family life and celebration of play. Celebrity fans include Eva Mendes, Natalie Portman, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, who have all appeared in the show in cameo roles. <\/p>\n

The series follows Bluey, a loveable, inexhaustible, Blue Heeler dog, who lives with her Mum, Dad and her little sister, Bingo. Bluey uses her limitless energy to play games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways, bringing her family and the whole neighbourhood into her world of fun.<\/p>\n

A global-ratings hit, Bluey <\/em>was the *second most streamed show last year in the U.S., doubling its viewing time from 2022 to 43.9 billion viewing minutes. The series has also enjoyed a plethora of critical success at home and abroad, winning a 2022 BAFTA Children & Young People Award in the International category, and recently picked up its fifth consecutive AACTA Best Children\u2019s Programme award \u2013 in addition to an International Emmy\u00ae and numerous craft and production awards around the world.<\/p>\n

Jointly commissioned by ABC Children\u2019s and BBC Studios Kids & Family, Bluey<\/em> is produced by multi-Emmy award-winning Ludo Studio in association with Screen Queensland and Screen Australia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The series streams to U.S. and global audiences (outside of Australia, New Zealand and China) across Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney+ through a global broadcasting deal between BBC Studios Kids & Family and Disney Branded Television.
