This vibrant and captivating film from Tunche Films is part of the company\u2019s strong lineup for this year\u2019s Cannes market. Currently in development, \u201cToxic \u2013 Miracle of the Jungle\u201d is slated for delivery in early 2027, with Studio 100 Film presenting the official teaser and first concept art designs from the film.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToxic \u2013 Miracle of the Jungle\u201d follows the story of <strong>Dante<\/strong>, a small yet extraordinary <strong>Amazonian dart frog<\/strong> with a powerful gift: his skin, when in contact with clouds, <strong>can generate rain<\/strong>. This rare and mysterious ability makes him the subject of scientific study\u2014until a test flight goes awry and Dante is unexpectedly dropped into the depths of the jungle. There he stumbles upon a lively forest community of small animals and dreams of becoming one of them. But his toxic nature leads to fear and exclusion. When a fierce forest fire threatens the very existence of the jungle, only Dante holds the key to salvation.<\/p>\n<p>A heartwarming and visually rich adventure, \u201cToxic \u2013 Miracle of the Jungle\u201d explores themes of friendship, self-acceptance, and environmental stewardship. The film also delivers a strong ecological message wrapped in a story full of emotion, wonder, and resilience. The <strong>Amazon<\/strong> region with its abundance of animals and plants is known as the \u201clungs of the world\u201d due to its significant importance in regulating the global climate.<\/p>\n<p>Produced by the imaginative South American studio Tunche Films, \u201cToxic \u2013 Miracle of the Jungle\u201d builds on the internationally recognized visually stunning and culturally rooted storytelling of their successful animated film \u201cAinbo \u2013 Spirit of the Amazon\u201d (2021), which grossed more than 13 million USD internationally and won the Platinum Award for \u201cBest Animated Film\u201d in Ibero-America in 2022. Additionally, Tunche Films were finalists at the 2024 Annecy Festival with David Baute\u2019s animated film \u201cMariposas Negras\u201d, a Spanish co- production with Ikiru Films, Tinglado Film, Anangu Grup, and Televisi\u00f3 de Catalunya (featured in the \u201cAnimation! Work in Progress by Annecy\u201d section).<\/p>\n<p>Directed by award-winning filmmakers <strong>Jos\u00e9 Zelada<\/strong> and <strong>Cesar Zelada<\/strong> (Ainbo, Kayara, Searching for Hearts), \u201cToxic \u2013 Miracle of the Jungle\u201d is based on an original idea by C\u00e9sar Zelada, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Jos\u00e9 Zelada. Executive Producers are brothers Sergio, Jos\u00e9, and C\u00e9sar Zelada.
