Renowned for its minimalist 3D animation, <em>Pocoyo<\/em>delights children with its educational content, memorable characters, and playful narratives. With a substantial presence across TV, VOD, and mobile apps, along with over 40 million YouTube subscribers, <em>Pocoyo<\/em> remains a cherished brand, captivating millions of children and families globally.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement to represent <em>Pocoyo <\/em>in Italy has been finalized with Animaj, the next-generation media company that acquired the IP in July 2023. DeAPlaneta Entertainment will manage various aspects of the IP, including merchandising, publishing rights, live shows, and retail events. In Italy, <em>Pocoyo<\/em> is broadcast on RAI Yoyo and RAI Play. Additionally, the series is available on both the Italian public broadcaster\u2019s YouTube channel and Animaj&#8217;s Italian YouTube channel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gianluca Ferrara, Head of Italy &amp; International Toys in DeAPlaneta Kids &amp; Family<\/strong>, expressed his enthusiasm for this new deal: \u201c<em>Pocoyo<\/em> transformed the way preschool entertainment is imagined and we\u2019re thrilled to collaborate strategically with the brand to strengthen its relevance in today\u2019s audiovisual landscape and ensure it continues to engage and inspire new generations of viewers\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Antoine Erligmann, SVP Global Content Distribution and Consumer Products at Animaj <\/strong>added: \u201cWe are thrilled to expand our presence in Italy through our new partnership with DeAPlaneta Entertainment, building on our successful, long-standing collaboration with Rai on content distribution. At Animaj, we are embracing an innovative &#8216;everywhere all at once&#8217; approach to content. This strategy includes two main strands: first, content tailored for traditional media platforms and streaming services, and second, original content made specifically for YouTube, which pioneers digital engagement. This dual approach allows us to connect with kids and families across multiple touchpoints, ensuring <em>Pocoyo<\/em>\u2019s charm and appeal reaches every audience\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Natalie Harvey, Head of Licensing, Retail and Experiences at Animaj<\/strong> commented: \u201cWith the launch of Season 5 this year and the introduction of Pocoyo\u2019s little sister Bea, we have developed all new assets and packaging to reflect our updated strategy targeted at the 3-5 age group.
