After a ten-year hiatus, TV Asahi\u2019s<\/b>\u00a0iconic Japanese animated series Doraemon<\/i>\u00a0is set to return to French audiences with a brand-new dubbed season.\u00a0\u00a0Produced by TV Asahi<\/b>\u00a0and distributed by Paris based\u00a0digital\u00a0distribution company Soupir, <\/b>this highly anticipated release marks the first French-language dub of the beloved Japanese classic since\u00a02015.<\/p>\n

The new season of 13 x 22-minute (or 26 x 11-minute) episodes will premiere on YouTube (France)\u00a0on 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0October\u00a0followed by launches on Anime Digital Network (ADN), Amazon Prime Video and Pluto TV and other platforms.\u00a0\u00a0This rollout represents a major milestone in reviving theDoraemon <\/i>library for French audiences and re-introduces the beloved robot cat to a new generation.<\/p>\n

Following Doraemon\u2019s<\/i>\u00a0return to YouTube (France) in September 2024, the new dubbed episodes will serve as an official \u2018new season\u2019.\u00a0\u00a0A\u00a0dedicated promotional campaign titled \u2018Bonjour Doraemon\u2019 will accompany the release featuring promotional visuals, special voice cast video messages, YouTube Shorts, sneak peeks into the freshly dubbed episodes and exclusive previews.<\/p>\n

Leading the French voice cast is Emmanuel Curtil<\/b>, best known as the official French voice of Jim Carrey, Disney\u2019s Goofy<\/i>, adult Simba in The Lion King<\/i>\u00a0and for characters in Frozen<\/i>\u00a0and The Smurfs<\/i>, who voices Doraemon.\u00a0\u00a0He is joined by Brigitte Lecordier<\/b>\u00a0widely known for voicing Son Goku in Dragon Ball<\/i>\u00a0who plays Nobita Nobi and also serves as the dubbing co-director with Louis Lecordier for this new season.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the launch, TV Asahi<\/b>\u00a0will\u00a0host a \u2018Dorayaki Party\u2019 at MIPCOM, <\/b>on\u00a0Tuesday 14th<\/sup>\u00a0October, from 15:00 \u2013 16:00\u00a0at Booth R7.E67<\/b>.\u00a0\u00a0Voice cast members Emmaneul Curtil<\/b>\u00a0and Brigitte Lecordier<\/b>\u00a0will be on hand to share exclusive behind the scenes insights,Doraemon\u2019s<\/i>\u00a0revival in France, the development of the new season, the dubbing process and more.<\/p>\n

Created by Fujiko F. Fujio Doraemon<\/i>\u00a0began as a manga series in 1970 and\u00a0first aired in Japan in 1979\u00a0and has since become a global cultural icon with over 2,000 episodes.\u00a0\u00a0The series follows the adventures of a time-travelling robotic cat called Doraemon who helps a young boy Nobita Nobi navigate life\u2019s ups and downs through humorous and heartwarming stories.<\/p>\n

With a legacy spanning more than 40 years, Doraemon<\/i>\u00a0continues to capture the hearts of audiences worldwide.\u00a0\u00a0The new French dubbed season marks the next chapter in the series\u2019 international journey, bringing its timeless humor and universal themes to both its loyal fanbase and a new generation.<\/p>\n
