Boomerang picks Cracké for broadcast in UK, Germany, Italy, and Portugal

Squeeze is proud to announce that Turner Kids’ channel Boomerang will be presenting the new original TV series Cracké in UK, Germany, Italy, and Portugal. Starting in October, more European families will be delighted by the creative, funny and high-quality TV show. This agreement brings to more than 175 the number of countries and territories to welcome Squeeze’s overprotective daddy ostrich.

Created and produced by Squeeze in Québec City, Canada, Cracké is a universal 3D animated slapstick comedy series starring Ed, an anxious ostrich dad, and his beloved brood. With the good intention to protect his eight eggs, Ed will cause trouble and threats, never missing an opportunity to make things worse for himself.

“It’s always an amazing feeling to realize that our original characters will have the chance to make people laugh, no matter where they come from, or where they live!” says Denis Doré, Squeeze’s president and co-founder. “Seeing that Cracké can travel the world gives our team a wonderful boost of energy for the second season’s creative process that is well under way!”

In Canada, Cracké is broadcast by Teletoon. The franchise also comes to life through a mobile video game and an innovative comic book application – only available in Canada for now.

Cracké was produced in Canada in collaboration with Teletoon, the Canada Media Fund, the Quebec Refundable Tax Credit for Film and Television Production (managed by SODEC), the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit (CPTC) – CAVCO, the Bell Fund, and the National Bank. Cracké’s growth and commercialization plan is made possible with the financial support of Québec City’s economic development strategy.
