Brand Licensing Europe announces F&B theme for 2018 and calls on the industry to contribute & collaborate

Food and beverage to take centre stage at BLE 2018, 9-11 October, Olympia London

As Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) approaches its 20th anniversary, organiser UBM has announced that this year’s theme will be food and beverage (F&B) and is calling upon the industry to contribute and collaborate with the team to create a truly vibrant celebration at Olympia this October.

“F&B is one of the fastest-growing and most robust categories within licensing,” explained BLE brand director Anna Knight.

“But it’s also incredibly innovative and dynamic, reinventing itself continuously in line with new trends and lifestyle choices. Health and fitness has been a huge influence over the sector since the 80s, but most recently the whole wellbeing and clean-eating phenomenon has had a huge impact on the category with no signs of fading any time soon.

“Previously, BLE has adopted themes that have unintentionally favoured brand owners, but F&B is more inclusive, embracing licensors and licensees.”

From keynotes and seminars to celebrity appearances, cook-offs, demos and on-stand sampling, BLE is keen for the industry to play an integral part in developing this year’s theme from the off and is open to any and all ideas to really shine a spotlight on the sector. BLE organiser UBM also owns Food Ingredients Europe (FIE) – the biggest F&B show in the world – allowing it to leverage existing relationship with F&B manufacturers for the benefit of BLE exhibitors and visitors.

Brand Licensing Europe is the definitive event for the licensing industry in Europe. The 20th annual event will take place in London from 9-11 October 2018.
