IMG and Juventus enter licensing representation agreement for Asian territories, Australia and New Zealand

IMG has agreed an exclusive licensing deal with Juventus Football Club S.p.A to represent the Italian giants in a number of Asian territories, Australia and New Zealand.

The multi-year deal comes after Juventus were crowned Serie A champions for the fifth consecutive year last season, a feat achieved only once before when the club also claimed the title five years in a row from 1930-35.

IMG will represent the Turin-based side in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, in addition to Australia and New Zealand, across a wide range of categories including apparel, accessories, automotive products, stationary, toys and food & beverages.

Marcelo Cordeiro, Licensing Director at IMG, said: ā€œJuventus is one of the biggest names in world football, with the clubā€™s signature black and white stripes instantly recognizable to fans across the globe. We are delighted to be working with them on developing their licensing programme in these regions and building on the success of their record-equalling season.ā€

Luca Montesion, Licensing Executive at Juventus FC, said: ā€œWe are always looking at new ways of reaching our global fanbase and this agreement with IMG will help us to do this in these territories. We will work closely with them on developing an extensive range of consumer-friendly products that will resonate widely with our passionate and loyal supporters.ā€

IMG will develop the Juventus brand licensing business through its network of Asian offices, coordinated by its team in Milan.
