Sabor, a leading Italian fashion and licensing company, strengthens its portfolio by acquiring rights to the new Dragon Ball DAIMA series, the latest installment in the legendary saga created by Akira Toriyama.

Sabor, a leader Made in Italy company for the production of Apparel and Accessories and a benchmark for the fashion and Licensing world, has recently announced the expansion of its Dragon Ball license, thanks to the acquisition of rights for the latest series of the saga, Dragon Ball DAIMA.

The new series Dragon Ball DAIMA is an original work, story and character designed by Akira Toriyama.

Following its debut in October 2024, the series is available on various streaming platforms: in addition to EMEA streaming partners Crunchyroll and Netflix, in Italy the series is also available on Anime Generation (Amazon Prime Video).

Dragon Ball DAIMA expanded the world of Dragon Ball with innovative storytelling and high-quality animation.

The series is targeted not only to the generation that grew up with Goku’s adventures but also to the new generations of fans.

The Dragon Ball phenomenon began in 1984 when Japan’s well-known manga from Akira Toriyama premiered in Shueisha’s “Weekly Shonen Jump” – becoming a top ranked title throughout its 10 and a half years of publication. Since then, the manga’s popularity has continued to grow with an astonishing record of 260 million copies sold worldwide and counting. And with Dragon Ball’s ever-increasing popularity, it has expanded beyond manga to include TV animation, movies, games, and merchandising.

Dragon Ball’s presence is constant at trade shows, cosplay events, and also within the fashion world: collaborations with famous brands are multiplying each year, in addition to capsule collections regularly available through global agreements with major fast fashion retailers.
