Ducati Motor Holding renews global licensing representation with IMG

Ducati Motor Holding, the premium motorcycle manufacturer, has renewed its exclusive global licensing representation agreement with IMG.

Since appointing IMG in July 2015, Ducati’s licensed products portfolio has expanded across eyewear, watches, fragrance, technology, apparel, footwear and accessories categories.

Alessandro Cicognani, Licensing and Corporate Partnership Director, Ducati Motor Holding, said: “Since we started working with IMG, it has been fantastic to see Ducati’s licensing presence grow into new territories across Europe, Asia and the Americas, and our entry into an eclectic range of relevant categories and products. We are thrilled with the quality, diversity and popularity of the new product ranges we have launched over the past two years, and remain confident that IMG is the best partner to help us continue this expansion.”

Marcelo Cordeiro, Licensing Director, IMG, added: “Following a hugely successful couple of years working together to expand Ducati’s range of products and geographic footprint, we are delighted to be extending our relationship. As a best-in-class brand synonymous with style, design and performance, Ducati translates seamlessly into a diverse range of lifestyle products all over the world. We look forward to continuing to build the brand’s portfolio in new markets and launching exciting new collections.”

A number of new licensees are set to launch products in 2018. These include limited edition Locman watches, an international eyewear collection of sunglasses and prescription glasses by Mondottica, an apparel, footwear and accessories collection in India with online retail giant Flipkart and niche high-end Ducati wooden balance bikes in Europe and North America.

In 2017, Ducati launched its male fragrance ‘1926’, which is available at specialised premium retailers. Additionally, a range of Ducati Corse-branded drones was unveiled in Europe. Further afield, Ducati launched an accessories collection of backpacks, luggage, wallets and headwear in Thailand, and a men’s and childrenswear range in the Philippines. The brand is also launching an apparel line in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia in 2018.
